Biography
Anthony Lucero is an Associate Actuary in the Individual Life Insurance (ILI) Mortality Assumptions team at Prudential. In this role, he supports mortality experience studies, assumption development, and associated regulatory and reporting requirements. He has previously worked in Defined Benefit retirement consulting at Mercer and Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) Pricing at Corebridge Financial (formerly AIG Life & Retirement).
Originally from Southern California, Anthony moved to NYC in 2013 to attend St. John’s University, where he later graduated with a B.S. in Actuarial Science. In 2019, Anthony served as Regional Co-Director of the Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS) NYC Alumni Council to support professional development efforts for both insurance/risk management students and alumni. Later in 2019, Anthony became an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA).
In 2020, Anthony joined the Organization of Latino Actuaries (OLA) as a volunteer conducting mock interviews and resume reviews for Latine university students and career changers who are pursuing the actuarial profession. Anthony has served on OLA’s Board of Directors as Director of Membership in 2022 and as Director of Early Career Development since 2023.
In his spare time, Anthony enjoys traveling, singing, playing piano, and cooking (especially taking on his family’s Mexican food recipes). He is fluent in English and Spanish.
